Water lanterns symbolize sending our hopes and blessings across the flow of life, while moon lanterns reflect the harmony and reunion the full moon represents. Lantern parades bring these lights together in a lively display of community spirit & human connection.

The Tradition
Moon lanterns, a central element of the Moon Festival, carry profound symbolism related to unity, wholeness, family, and reunion. These beautifully crafted lanterns, often illuminated from within, represent the full moon, which itself is a traditional symbol of completeness and togetherness in many Asian cultures.
The act of lighting, displaying, and parading with moon lanterns during the festival signifies a beacon of hope and a shared celebration. Families gather to admire the lanterns, often making them together, which strengthens familial bonds and fosters a sense of collective purpose. The circular shape of many traditional moon lanterns further reinforces the idea of wholeness and cyclical harmony.
Water Lanterns
1. Decorate the paper covering of your water lantern with whatever is in your heart. Set your wishes, dreams, & hopes free.
2. Place support sticks on the holes on the corners of wooden base
3. Fit paper covering over the support sticks
4. Release your lantern into the water when it's time!
The Tradition
Water lantern releases are a beautiful and symbolic tradition, often seen at the Moon Festival. Participants light lanterns and set them afloat on water, each carrying hopes, dreams, and well wishes. This act represents letting go of worries, sending intentions out into the universe, and honoring loved ones. The lanterns drifting away signify a peaceful release and a collective hope for the future.

1. Decorate your lover's lock with your loved one
2. Choose a spot on our Lover's Lane Fence to place the lock! Seal it with love and commitment :)

Lover's locks, often found adorning "Lover's Lanes" or bridges, is a timeless tradition where couples affix padlocks, usually engraved with their names or initials, to a public fixture and then throw away the key. This act symbolizes their unbreakable love and commitment, a tangible representation of their enduring bond. The countless locks clustered together create a powerful visual testament to shared devotion and the permanence of affection.
